Equality Impact Assessment

An Equality Impact Assessment is a way of helping you to analyse your policies or services to identify the effect they might have on different groups within the community.  It can help you to anticipate and identify discriminatory or negative consequences for a particular group or sector of the community on the grounds of ethnicity, gender, gender identity, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership. You can then take action to eliminate or minimise those consequences.

Here are the documents you need to carry out an Equality Impact Assessment

Watch our video 'Everyone Included' for more information about Equality Impact Assessments and how to use the Equality Impact Assessment Tool - see below:

Translate the subtitles by clicking on the CC button below the screen once the video begins. You will also be given the option to translate the spoken commentary (Transcribe Audio) but this function is not yet fully operational.

The DVD,Guidance Document and Toolkit were produced for the Reaching Out:Linking In project with funding from Big Lottery Fund.  Add your comments at the bottom of the page (you must be signed into the site to do this)
